Comments: The madeleines are a buttery combination of a cookie and a cake. We made them on a whim so they weren’t as great as they could be. Arthur suggests adding a little bit of lemon flavoring, that will add the extra zest they were missing. However, we still ate them all in one day. Worth making again.
250 grams of sugar
250 grams of butter
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.
Fill in each madeleine mold half full.
Bake at until the madeleines rise and turn golden brown.
