The Recipe:
It sounds complicated, but it’s so easy and DELICIOUS!

Use this: …..IT MAKES @ 4 LOAVES

MIX TOGETHER
1  1/3 Cup warm milk {just warm…too hot will cook the yeast then it won’t raise}
1/4 lb butter {1 stick}{melt in the milk}
2 pkgs yeast
——————————–
ADD:
1 cup sugar
2/3 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
—————————–
Blend in : 4 eggs
{You can do all that with hand mixer. Flour you have to stir in by hand}
—————————–
GRADUALLY ADD:
6 cups flour
2/3 cup raisins

{Grease up your hands}…Knead dough for 30 minutes.
The more you knead it, the less sticky it gets.

Cover with plastic & place a heavy towel over all. Set in warm spot to raise.

It has to raise twice….1ST…in bowl…..2ND…in loaf pan.

Grammie’s tip #1: {Mix a scrambled egg with a little bit of water and brush it over the top of the bread to get a nice, golden brown color.}

Bake at 300 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
Grammie’s Secret #2: If the bread browns too fast, place paper bags over the top.
